Rejoice Christmas Tag with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. I've been busy playing with the Chipboard Tag again and have created for you another Christmas Tag, that's perfect to give as a Christmas card to someone special in your life. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to embellish the chipboard and wood pieces for my Rejoice Christmas Tag.

To start, pull out one of the Chipboard Tags from the package. Ink the edges of the tag using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Next, you'll need one of the Snowflake Wreath - Small out of the package. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to the entire wreath. Sprinkle Burnt Copper Leaves embossing powder over the entire wreath. Tap off the excess powder. Emboss with your heat tool. Let cool.

Take the Rod Iron Circle Frame out of the package. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink to the entire frame. Sprinkle Weathered Wood embossing powder over the entire frame. Tap off the excess powder. Emboss with your heat tool. Let cool.

From the Lg. Wood Snowflake package, take two snowflakes out. Blend Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the entire surface of each snowflake. Set snowflakes aside.

Take out the Word Rejoice from it's package. Apply a coat of Candied Apple Distress Stain to the word. Before the stain completely dries, lightly go over the entire word with Tarnished Brass Distress Stain. Before the Tarnished Brass Distress Stain completely dries, lightly go back over the word with Candied Apple Distress Stain. Set aside to dry.

You'll need to pull out two Christmas Stockings from the package. Apply two coats of Candied Apple Distress Stain to each stocking. Set aside to dry.

Take out two of the Bare Branches from the package. Apply two coats of Gathered Twigs Distress Stain to the branches. Set the branches aside to dry.

The last chipboard piece you need are two Snowflakes 712 taken out from the package. Apply two coats of Tarnished Brass Distress Stain to each snowflake. Set the snowflakes aside to dry.

Now it's time to assemble your Rejoice Christmas Tag.

Adhere patterned paper to your chipboard tag. Adhere a bare branch in the top left corner as well as on the bottom right hand side of the tag. Adhere the Rod Iron Frame overtop of the branches. Adhere the Snowflake Wreath frame overtop of the Rod Iron Frame. Adhere an image in the middle of the Snowflake Wreath.

In the bottom right and top left hand corner of the Snowflake Wreath, adhere the large wood snowflake, stocking and small snowflake. With the elements adhered on both corners of the Snowflake Wreath, adhere the Rejoice word at the bottom of the Snowflake Wreath.

To finish off the tag, adhere flowers as desired throughout the chipboard and wood elements. Once your happy with how many flowers you have on your tag, add a ribbon bow at the left hand side of the tag.

Here are a few close up shots of my tag.

Here's the finished tag.
