On Cabin Time Card with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Southern Ridge Trading Company fans, Katelyn here. Today, I've created for you a fun On Cabin Time Card, that's perfect to use as an any occasion card. You'll want to read below as I share with you how I created my On Cabin Time Card at home.

To start, pull out the large Abstract Circle Frame. Use a blending tool with foam and blend Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the entire surface of the frame.

With the Vintage Photo Distress Ink still out, use a blending tool with foam and blend Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the entire surface of both snowflakes.

From the Sleighs package, pull out the large sleigh. Apply two coats of Candied Apple Distress Paint to the sleigh. Once the paint has dried, ink the edges of the sleigh using Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Take the small and medium sized Cedar Trees out of the package. Apply two coats of Pine Needles Distress Paint to the trees. Once the paint has dried, ink the edges of the trees using Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Take two pine branches out. Apply two coats of Evergreen paint to the pine branches. Once the paint has dried, ink the edges of the branches using Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

From the Corrugated Stars, take out a small and large star. Apply Emboss It Ink to the entire surface of each star. Sprinkle Salted Navy Embossing Powder over each star. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with your heat tool.

Take out one of the Sm. Primitive Stars out of the package. Apply Emboss It Ink to the entire surface of the star. Sprinkle Salted Navy Embossing Powder over the star. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with your heat tool.

From the Small Merry Deer Mix, pull out one of the deer. Apply Emboss It Ink to the entire surface of the deer. Sprinkle Burnt Copper Leaves Embossing Powder over the deer. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with your heat tool.

You'll need one Lg. Wood Snowflake from the package.

Next you'll need the  4x4 Journaling Card patterned paper piece from the Cabin Fever paper line. To cut the "On Cabin Time" circle, use the 3 1/4" fitted circle die. For the circle in behind the "On Cabin Time" circle, use the 3 3/4" fitted circle and cut out of the knit square. Distress the edges of the circles. Ink the edges of the circles using a blending tool with foam and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

From the other patterned paper pieces from the Cabin Fever line, you'll need to choose three other patterns. Here are the measurements you'll need to cut the patterned pieces at:
- Patterned Paper Piece #1: 5" x 5"
- Patterned Paper Piece #2: 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"
- Patterned Paper Piece #3: 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Distress the edges of each patterned paper piece. Ink the edges of each patterned paper piece using a blending tool with foam and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Adhere the 5" patterned paper piece to the 5 1/4" patterned paper piece. Adhere the 5 1/4" patterned paper piece to the 5 1/2" patterned paper piece.

Adhere the "On Cabin Time" circle to the knit circle.

Adhere the Abstract Circle Frame to the knit circle. Foam square the knit circle to the middle of the 5" patterned paper piece.

In the top left corner of the circle, adhere one pine branch, the sm. primitive star, the lg. snowflake and the other two snowflakes.

In the bottom right hand corner of the circle, adhere the two corrugated stars, the sleigh, the other pine branch, the two cedar trees and the deer.

In amongst the chipboard pieces in the bottom right hand corner of the circle, adhere two red roses, three cream roses and one light brown rose.

In the top left hand corner of the circle, in amongst the chipboard pieces, adhere three cream roses, two red roses and one light brown rose.

Add enamel dots in all four corners of the 5" patterned paper piece. In the top left hand side of the circle, add four enamel dots in amongst the flowers.

To finish, add an enamel dot to each of the snowflakes and adhere the card front to the 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" card base.

Here are a few close up shots of my card.

Here's the finished card.
